Wooow, after 25 years of misery in Europe, they have finally found a reason to mock the US economic system. Congrats, Europe, you're a wretched failure.

American foolishness allowed frivolous buyers to fund power boats and cars. It was based on the individual.

It will be obvious soon that European foolishness has funded unaffordable social services by its governments.

The outcome will be the same.

BTW have to agree with this excerpt - "Expressing nostalgia for "the good old days when bankers jumped out of windows," Aeschimann condemned as "extortion" the rescue of U.S. corporate giants by the very state that free-marketeers resent.

That's fine, mock us for a financial crash and we'll pity you for your societal/population crash. I'll take our problems thank you.

I'm here in the states. In NY. And I have to agree with the post.

If it wasn't for me, my parents would be /dead/ b/c medicare doesn't pay for their healthcare.

Gee. What a great place. If your kids aren't rich, you get to die when you can't work anymore and you need that tumor removed before it goes malignant.

Land of the free, my ass.

Fuck America.

You mean that subprime wasteland is still of any importance to the world? I'm surprised anyone in Europe could bring themselves to say the name of that awful country.
