I am of the opinion that xkcd is perhaps the finest webcomic out there. The first couple dozen strips are a little weird as the author was apparently still trying to figure out what they wanted to do with the strip, but the rest are absolutely worth reading.
In that particular strip if you mouse over the image, it says something like, "I'd tell you more about it but I have a date."

This is only true for men. As a woman ages, her options narrow.
So the pool of dateables grows, but the number of singles still decreases with increasing age, or not?
Whatever, I think it's quite comfy at the edge of the bell-shaped curve.
